Sanshin Performance and Traditional Dance

The Melodies of the sanshin, echoing through the Ishigaki night

Centered around live Sanshin music, you can freely add traditional dance or hands-on experiences to curate a special evening perfectly tailored to your mood and the occasion.

Live Sanshin Performance

At twilight, local musicians visit the living room of EARTH to perform exclusively for you. The resonant sounds of the sanshin provide a vibrant backdrop to a dinner featuring the rich bounty of the Yaeyama Islands.

Live Dance Performance

This elegant and beautiful dance performance accompanied by the sanshin happens in the EARTH living room with the changing sky as a backdrop. This is the finest entertainment on the island to make your special night even more vibrant.

Sanshin Experience Session

Receive hands-on instruction directly at EARTH from a musician born and raised on the island. You will learn to play traditional Yaeyama folk songs and ancient Okinawan melodies, culminating in the joy of performing a well-known masterpiece. This is a profound opportunity to experience the essence of the island and resonate with its deep traditions.

Important Notes

The venue can be arranged to suit your preferences, such as a terrace or courtyard. If children will be joining, we can provide a paaranku (small hand drum) so they can take part during the live performance. Please let us know in advance.
